On July 1, 2016, the Imperial Symphony Orchestra boldly entered its 51st season of performances as a semi-professional, paid orchestra. With 48 talented musicians, Imperial Symphony Orchestra audiences enjoyed 16 free concerts, four Masterworks performances, four educational lectures and a fully-staged opera! Donors like you made it possible for 10,000 students and children to attend free performances, including 8,500 school children who attended as part of annual School Day Enrichment concerts.
Donations from individuals like you made up more than 40% of the ISO’s budget in 2016-2017, making the transition to a paid orchestra possible. Thanks to you, the ISO will continue to “educate, entertain and inspire” Polk County and beyond!
