Pops by the Lake takes place at 8 pm on Friday, November 6, 2009 at the Lake Mirror Amphitheatre and Promenade.

In addition to our FREE concert, the Orchestra is offering Leroy Sutton’s Fried Chicken Dinner from 6:30-8:00pm in the Magnolia Building. Leroy’s Fried Chicken Dinner is SOLD OUT.

Beer, wine, sodas, Starbucks Coffee and other beverages will be available at the Cash Bar.  Homemade desserts made by ISO musicians, board and Guild members are also available for purchase on our Dessert Bar. Both are open from 6:30pm through intermission.

Governance Committee Chairman Brock Self presented the slate of nominees.  New Directors elected for a first term are Jennifer Nixon, Lori Powell, Henry Tucker, Sandra Sheets, Janet Shearer, Kathy Cook and Norma Vaillette.  Directors elected for a second term are Martha Linder and Barbara Shaw Douglas.

A photograph of the Orchestra was presented to outgoing President, Curt Wheeler in appreciation of his work during the year.  Wheeler passed the ceremonial gavel to Martha Linder who takes the office of President on July 1, 2009.  Other Directors to take office on July 1 include First Vice President Tom Mack, Second Vice President Lu Fitzwater,  Treasurer – M.C. Pruitt and Secretary – Lesley Chambers.
