Share the Gift of Music on #GivingTuesday

On Tuesday November 29, the Imperial Symphony Orchestra (ISO) will join more than 45,000 organizations in 70 countries for #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving.

In the United States, Thanksgiving is followed by days of stuff-getting like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Five years ago, 92Y, a cultural center in New York City, conceptualized #GivingTuesday as a new way of linking people to causes, strengthen communities and celebrate giving. The movement harnesses the power of social media to create a global movement that inspires people to improve their communities by giving back in better, smarter ways.

One of the ISO’s most treasured programs began in the early 2000s. Recognizing a need to eliminate cost barriers for families, the board of directors established the “Next Generation for the Arts” program that provides ticket scholarships to students. This #GivingTuesday, you can directly support this program by providing ticket scholarships for the December 13 holiday concert.

On November 29, join the movement to “get out the give” by giving students access to live music!
