Meet the Intern: Brigid Pettit

Hello! My name is Brigid Pettit and I am very excited to be interning with the Imperial Symphony Orchestra this summer! Originally from Grottoes, Virginia, I am a 2016 graduate of Virginia Tech, where I studied both Religion and Culture and writing in my undergraduate courses. I will be returning to Virginia Tech to complete my Master’s degree in Public Humanities next year. This summer, I am looking forward to learning about the ISO and its mission in the Lakeland community. As a longtime performer and student of the arts, I am passionate about community arts education and the benefits that can be derived from artistic opportunities. During my time at Virginia Tech, I have marched piccolo in the Marching Virginians and been an active member of a national collegiate band service sorority. I am excited to expand my experience to the broader community this summer – I am grateful to the ISO for the opportunity to do that in Lakeland!

I can be reached through email at intern@imperialsymphony.org.
